Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arranging) Workshop

Ikebana (Japanese Flower Arranging) Workshop

£80.00

In our workshop, you will be introduced to the Japanese art of flower arrangement, including a brief history of this elegant and restrained art form. You will learn about the four classic styles of Ikebana and the practical application of the Moribana and Free style flower arranging techniques.

During this hands-on session, we will cover the basic tools required for Ikebana, discuss the selection of suitable seasonal flowers and foliage, and how to prepare, arrange and fix the stems securely in their container. Unlike western flower arranging, Ikebana values space in the careful positioning of flowers and foliage to create asymmetrical or unbalanced shape, bringing harmony and beauty to the arrangement.

The workshop price includes flowers and foliage, a re-usable kenzan, a ceramic container, expert step-by-step guidance, light refreshments, and for on-site workshops a guided tour of our cutting gardens.

Join us to explore the serene and artistic world of Ikebana and take home your unique floral creation
